Misha Khalikulov is a cellist and music educator based in San Francisco. He studied Cello Performance at UCLA under the tutelage of Antonio Lysy. As a music teacher, Misha has fourteen years of experience, and teaches youth through two non-profit organizations: Harmony Project Bay Area, where he is in his 10th year, and Bay Area Music Project, where he is in his 8th year.
As a performing musician, Misha has been a member of the band Rupa and the April Fishes for over 12 years, he has performed extensively around Europe and Asia and has recorded 4 albums with them. He is also a member of the contemporary chamber group StringQuake as well as the Hungarian folk/crossover group Vadalma, and Klezmer trio Baymele, with whom he toured in the summer of 2022 on the East Coast.
