supporting bamp

No one achieves anything alone. The strength of our community is built on the backs of hundreds of people — big and small.

Every Gift has an impact

We're made rich by our family of dedicated, passionate teaching artists and support staff who mentor curious, creative young minds from a place of love and respect. We're grateful for the trust our families put in us to help shape these young lives. We're encouraged and supported by our strong partnerships with foundations, art councils, and school leaders that allow us to provide dynamic music education to more children than ever before. We're inspired by our teaching colleagues, both at our partner schools and in the broader El Sistema community, to set higher goals for the children we work with every day. More than anything, we're grateful for your support.

Your gift helps bring high-quality music instruction to children who need it most. When you give to Bay Area Music Project, you empower a child to change the course of their lives. You create an artist, a problem solver and a leader.
Please consider supporting our program and help bring high quality music education to the children of Bay Area Music Project. All donations are tax deductible.

DONATE AN INSTRUMENT

Do you have unused or forgotten instruments hiding in the back of your closets, attics, or basement? If so, please consider donating them to BAMP so we can provide our students with the necessary equipment to be successful musicians. BAMP welcomes gifts of student-sized instruments in good condition.

BAMP INSTRUMENT DONATION POLICY
  • Instruments must be playable. BAMP cannot afford to make major repairs on instruments to bring them up to playable condition.
  • Instruments must not have mold, rust or accumulated dirt inside or outside the body of the instrument. Mold can be a health hazard for our students. BAMP will clean donated instruments within reason.
  • Instruments with extensive cracks in the body or missing parts cannot be accepted.
  • Donated instruments requiring appraisals cannot be accepted until appraisals have been acquired from a licensed vendor outside of BAMP. BAMP is not a licensed appraiser of instruments and cannot assign a value to any donated instrument.
  • A Letter of Receipt will be issued for each instrument. The letter will include the name of the donor, a description of the instrument, and the date when the instrument was given. The letter will not assign a value to the instrument.
