Alameda: Maya Lin School Chapter — Grades K- 5

OUR AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM AT MAYA LIN SCHOOL IS FULL.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST.

please read the following Important Application information BEFORE APPLYING

BAMP is partially subsidized by the After School Education and Safety (ASES) grant from the CA Dept. of Education that requires all students attend our program 3 hours per day, five (5) days a week from the end of each school day until 6:00 P.M.

Enrollment Priorities

  1. Families who qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Meal Program (FRMP), Foster youth, and families with housing insecurities. If your family qualifies in this category, you should have received a link through Parent Square to apply to AMP on Friday, April 21st. Enrollment for non-qualifying families opens May 15th.
  2. Returning fee-based students and incoming siblings
  3. New students (fee-based), first-come, first-serve basis.
  4. Returning students and their incoming siblings are given priority for re-enrollment until June 15th.
  5. Enrollment period for ELO-P/ASES families is from April 21 - August 18.
New families K-5: Your child/children must be enrolled at Maya Lin School (not on a waitlist) to be considered for enrollment. If you do not qualify for FRMP, your application will be reviewed after the priority enrollment window has closed for our returning families on June 18. You may also be placed on a waitlist until we determine the number of new ELO-P students enrolling and our staffing needs.
Returning students: must re-register for the next school year. Families have priority enrollment over first-time applicants until June 15.
Acceptance into the program is not guaranteed. Once available spots are filled, applications will be added to our waitlist. The state of California requires that all ASES and ELO- Programs maintain a staff-to-pupil ratio of 1:20 unless working with TK/K pupils, in which case the staff-to-pupil ratio must be at least 1:10 (as per EC Section 46120[b][2][D]).
Families will be notified about their enrollment beginning July 1st and no later than August 1st.
*The ASES attendance requirement overrides the ELOP attendance policy.
