BAMP is partially subsidized by the After School Education and Safety (ASES) grant, and the Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO-P) funding from the California Department of Education. BAMP operates from the end of the school day until 6 p.m. each day school is in session.
Eligibility
  • Students must be enrolled at Maya Lin School to be eligible.
Enrollment Fees
  • There is a monthly tuition fee of $450 for non-ELO-P qualifying Kindergarten students.
  • Monthly tuition fees for students in grades 1-5 is $425 non-ELO-P qualifying students.
  • All instruments and music accessories are included.
Attendance Policy
  • The ASES grant is strictly monitored for attendance compliance and overrides the ELOP attendance policy. Students enrolled at our Maya Lin School Chapter are required to attend three (3) hours per day, five (5) days a week from the end of each school day until 6:00 P.M. An early release waiver must be completed when children leave before the three-hour participation requirement.
  • Families who take advantage of the three hour daily mandatory participation will be given priority registration.

Enrollment Priorities

  1. Families who qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Meal Program (FRMP), Foster youth, and families with housing insecurities. If your family qualifies in this category, you will receive a link through ParentSquare to apply.
  2. Returning fee-based students and incoming siblings
  3. New students (fee-based), first-come, first-serve basis.
New families K-5: Your child/children must be enrolled at Maya Lin School (not on a waitlist) to be considered for enrollment. If you do not qualify for FRMP, your application will be reviewed after the priority enrollment window has closed for our ASES/ELO-P and returning families on June 16. You may also be placed on a waitlist until we determine the number of new ELO-P students enrolling and our staffing needs.
Returning students: must re-register for the next school year. Families have priority enrollment over first-time applicants until June 15.
Acceptance into the program is not guaranteed. Once available spots are filled, fee-based applications will be added to our waitlist. The state of California requires that all ASES and ELO- P programs maintain a staff-to-pupil ratio of 1:20 unless working with TK/K pupils, in which case the staff-to-pupil ratio must be at least 1:10 (as per EC Section 46120[b][2][D]).
Families will be notified about their enrollment beginning July 1st and no later than August 1st.
