Ryan Lee is a pianist, music director, and proud Bay Area native. As a young pianist, he competed at the local level, winning 1st place in back-to-back years at the Solano MTA Piano Competition. He was also a finalist at the Glenn Miller Instrumental Festival Competition in Clarinda, Iowa. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Sacramento State University.
Mr. Lee has served as a choral accompanist and/or music director for numerous organizations, including the Woodland Opera House, Sacramento Musical Theatre, Rocklin Community Theatre, UC Davis Theatre, Green Valley Theatre Company, River City Chorale, the Sacramento Children’s Chorus, and numerous churches throughout Northern California. He has also participated in solo and ensemble performances all over California as well as in New York (Carnegie Hall), Chicago, Florida, Hawai’i, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Canada.
Mr. Lee graduated from St. Patrick- St. Vincent High School in Vallejo and served as Choral Director for 12 years. He is currently their Advancement Associate for Alumni Relations, Communications, and Special Events. He looks forward to helping the Bay Area Music Project bring back its choir program this school year!
